The Staircase Goes Up. He Is Deciding Whether to Follow.

A black cat sits at the base of a staircase that spirals upward into the night sky, ending somewhere near the moon. Bare trees, a village below, a gold-lit circle of sky above. The cat is not afraid of where it goes. The cat is simply considering the timing. This painting holds that moment — the one before a decision, when the night is still open and anything above the horizon is possible.

Why You'll Love It

• Gothic surrealism with emotional clarity — the image is strange, the feeling is immediate; a staircase to the moon is not a literal thing, but the longing it represents is, and the painting knows exactly which one it is showing you
• Gold and deep umber — the warmth of the moon against the cool dark of the night; a palette that makes a wall feel like a window into something worth looking at for a long time
• Narrative that stays open — the cat has not moved yet; the staircase is still there; the story belongs to whoever is looking at it, and it will be different each time
• HD archival printing on artist-grade canvas — vivid, fade-resistant clarity on every print
• Natural wood frame available — ready to hang out of the box
• Made & shipped in the USA — printed on demand, crafted with care
• 9 sizes available — from 8x12" accent to 34x51" statement piece
