The Portrait — Three Seagulls at the Lighthouse Funny Coastal Canvas Wall Art

They dressed up for this. That is the important thing to understand. The straw hat was selected. The yellow brim hat was positioned at exactly the right angle. The overalls were put on with intent. They stood in front of the lighthouse — because a lighthouse is the correct backdrop for a portrait of this kind — and they held still for long enough, which is longer than anyone expected. The one in the middle is the tallest and stands like someone who has always been the tallest and has made peace with the responsibility this carries. The one on the left looks directly at you with the calm confidence of a seagull that has never once doubted that it dressed appropriately for the occasion. The one on the right is younger, or at least shorter, and holds itself with the particular posture of someone who is doing their best and knows it. The sky is blue. The beach is behind them. This is their portrait. They are very pleased with it.
